We are looking for a highly qualified candidate that has the skills to engage in our organization as a Grants Senior Officer.
Who are weDRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk
Duties• Focal point for maintaining electronic and hard copy grant files, including the online Grants Management System.• Extracting information and responding to ad-hoc donor requests for information and maintaining updated project/grant fact sheets and project success stories.• Collect and consolidate reports ensuring that information is accurate and checked for discrepancies. • Provide high quality drafting, editing and formatting for all program related documents.• Updating and circulating the reporting tracker, ensuring that internal and external reporting deadlines are respected.• Cross check data with other program staff to ensure that reporting generated accurately reflects program activities.• Support the proposal preparation, no cost extension, amendment processes, including the drafting and editing of information from field teams and management.• Maintain a database of all DRC partners, including sub grants and reports • Support partnership development and MOU development • Support training of partners in grant management, and proposal development• Support staff and partner capacity building on reporting guidelines / grant management• Support with the organization of workshops, donor field visits, visitors etc. as required.
About you• University degree in social sciences, international relations, journalism, law or other related field.• At least two years of relevant professional experience.• Demonstrated use in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.• Experience in drafting high quality documents in English. • Ability to organize and plan tasks, and handle competing demands under tight deadlines • Fluency in English and Arabic.• Good analytical and problem solving skills. • Ability to work independently and to facilitate coordination within a large diverse team.
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from August 2015 and be willing and able to work in Beirut.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. Basic Salary: 1,881 USD
