Background   Akkar Network for Development (AND) has been working in Akkar for the last years with women, youth and local authorities to promote the well-being of the community. In addition to other interventions in the area, AND is currently working on combating violence against women and children, women and youth empowerment e,g. vocational training… In partnership with Heartland Alliance, AND is in the process of launching static and mobile safe women spaces that provides holistic services focusing on psychosocial support, violence prevention, livelihoods strengthening and social cohesion to diverse vulnerable populations affected by the Syrian refugee crisis, including women and girls, and survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV), torture and trauma.   Summary: Full - time Psychotherapist will be based in &out of the safe spaces, take the responsibility of providing individual and group therapy as well as conducting psych education sessions within the safe spaces and throughout mobile outreach activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Implement Heartland Alliance  policy with regards to psychological services Provide psychotherapy to those affected by the  Syrian refugee crisis when needed and members of the host community in the Safe Women Space Identify and treat  symptoms  of psychological disorders, mainly PTSD, depression, and Adjustment Disorder Provide psychosocial support – groups and individuals – to trauma survivors and conflict affected women/girls Work directly with the social worker to develop intervention plans and follow up at  home level Provide direct support and guidance to the social worker on common cases Draft reports Actively participate in case studies and team supervision sessions Provide outreach psychological services (mainly in houses and collective shelters) Qualifications & Experience: Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. Finalized or in the process of finalizing training on psychotherapy – integrative approach. Undergone or undergoing  personal therapy Fluent in spoken Arabic and good knowledge of English language. Previous NGO experience is a plus. Personal interest in educational and mental health issues. Good communication and teamwork skills
