Job Summary
In the Middle East, including Lebanon, International Medical Corps has developed an Innovative appraoch of providing integrated case management for survivors of gender-based violence through its broader mental health and psychosocial support case managment program. This integrated case managment appraoch is provided by the MHPSS case workers who work with affected populations, including survivors, that have multiple and complex needs and require a comprehensive case management appraoch which identifies, supports, and protects those who are vulnerable and promotes stablitly and recovery. GBV and MHPSS integrated case management ensures that survivors can access different levels of care, including more specialized mental health support if needed and requested that is still survivor centered.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Promote and introduce the International Medical Corps (IMC) integrated approach to GBV services to institutions, centers, PHCs and individuals;
Providing GBV case management to vulnerable person, particularly survivors of gender-based violence at the primary health clinics, centers and field levels.
Case management services will include assessment of needs, development of an action plan for recovery, implementing the action plan and ensuring appropriate follow up/revision and case closure when appropriate. The case management process should be implemented through the survivor-centered approach.
Provide Age Appropriate counseling for vulnerable girls and children while being mindful of how to care for child survivors and working in the best interest of the child.
Contribute and regularly update service mapping of service providers within your area to ensure that caseworkers are informed of all relevant and available services.
The case manager will be an essential source of providing accurate referrals and ensure adequate follow up of all cases referred.
Identify opportunities for awareness rising, whether it at a community center or other safe space, plan the sessions; including sessions with children or children and caregivers.
Organize focus group discussions on relevant information when needed.
To identify protection concerns of young girls and women within the community they are working in; i.e. any trends should be reported to the area manager and advocate for gaps in GBV response and referral procedures.
Conduct outreach and home visits and document it.
Receive referrals, take action and provide feedback of actions taken in a timely manner to manager and other agencies when necessary.
Maintain accurate records, and client files that are in line with GBVIMS standards.
Preparing and submit reports in timely manner.
Attend IMC trainings when such trainings are planned and implemented.
Prepare, take-part and document Case Management technical meetings.
Attend regular meetings with Area Manager planned on weekly or biweekly basis.
Report directly to IMC GBV Officer.
Reporting:

Weekly and Monthly Budget template report
