Education Specialist

• Provide technical support to staff and teachers • Provide initial and in-service training as per needs assessment • Contribute to the development of teaching and learning tools • Carry out field visits and organize meetings with AVSI field staff, parents and teachers • Communicate effectively AVSI’s identity, mission, vision values and its approach in order to work in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear • Ensure regular update of the UNICEF projects planning and tasks based on monitoring and reporting • Work in close collaboration with AVSI’s Education team • Support at technical level all teachers and shadow teachers in their job • Collaborate with the planning of the agenda of the courses • Be a technical focal point for all education activities implemented within UNICEF Education project • Support the implementation of AVSI project monitoring and evaluation policy • Write technical reports • Keep good relations with local implementing actors, local authorities and other international and local stakeholders • Perform any other relevant duties as required
