Project Manager (North Bekaa)

Overall objective Under the supervision and direction of the CP Program Manager, and in coordination with the CP Project Manager, is in charge of developing and ensuring the good implementation of the case management project in North Bekaa. Tasks and responsibilities Is responsible for the overall implementation of Project cycle, including administration and planning according to project goals and objective, reporting to TDH delegation, donors and Interagency, stakeholders Overall coordination of the project staff and teams in line with TDH standards and procedures He/She participates in making sure that protection and CP policy of TDH IT (TDH-It Code of Conduct) are understood and respected by all involved staff and for all activities. Supported by the CM specialist, He/She coordinates the CM activities with TDH CP/PSS intervention and with other organizations working in North Bekaa, ensuring that the operational and qualitative aspects are properly put into practice (monitoring of objectives, respecting due dates and budgetary provisions, quality control). Supporting the technical staff  in planning  trainings for the implementation teams regarding protection, legal aspects, case management and referral pathways. Improve protection threats analysis & monitoring, information sharing and advocacy: he/she ensures an in depth analysis of data collected by CM team and other child protection actors in the area of intervention; he/she develops external reports if needed.   Representation and coordination: Upon request from his/her supervisors, he/she ensures and coordinates the sectorial representation (e.g. Child Protection, Education Working Group) in the area which he/she is responsible for among partners, donors, authorities and other stakeholders. She/he ensures an efficient coordination with the other components of the project. Monitoring and evaluation: Set up and ensure the continuous monitoring of the activities under his/her management including qualitative and quantitative monitoring; ensuring that proper policy, standards & codes of conduct are enforced. Team management and capacity building: He/She will supervise the ‘Case Management team’ and liaise with support departments. Capitalization, reporting and communication: He/she assists the Programme manager and/or the Country delegate in providing sufficient and detailed information for program reporting for donors and HQ. Strategy: She/he contributes to the adjustment of current intervention or/and development of new interventions on the basis of identified needs. Required Profile Education / Training Master’s Degree Field of education: Preferably in Social Sciences, International Law, and humanities, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or any other relevant field Project management Vulnerability assessment, GBV, and CP case management is an asset Experience in child protection or protection is an asset Security and hostile environment trainings are a target Professional experience At least 2 years as a manager of humanitarian projects Substantial experience in emergency and post-crisis environments Strong experience in community based protection activities and Protection case management Experience in the implementation of  Case Management guidelines Knowledge & skills Demonstrating good knowledge of UN and NGO mandates and programs in the humanitarian responses, refugees, post conflict construction and development/resilience Excellent planning and organizational skills Excellent writing skills in Arabic and English Very good Knowledge of project management Excellent computer skills Required Personal Characteristics (fitting into team, suitability for the job and assignment/mission) Ability to deal with difficult, often frustrating work situations Ability to provide/structure instructions clearly and concisely both orally and in writing A very high sense of discretion and integrity when dealing with child protection cases High degree of responsibility, initiative, emotional stability, the ability to prioritize a heavy workload and to delegate accordingly, culturally sensitive Professional attitude and the ability to build successful working relationships Excellent command in writing and editing documents in English and Arabic Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to the needs of the team and organization Strong commitment to support/develop capacity of local staff Team player Problem solving and leadership skills
