Outreach Worker

Develop an understanding the community's culture and respond to its challenges Plan, prepare and coordinate field visits on weekly basis Conduct community street outreach visits and make face to face interaction within the community (substance users and/or community members) to deliver safe using information, overdose prevention BBV tests and communication material regarding various drugs and open access service Plan and facilitate meetings and identify community needs working with community leaders and volonteers Develop street contract in various communities and areas within the city  Conducts Hepatitis and HIV testing including appropriate counseling, education, harm reduction techniques and follow up where necessary according to agency guidelines and National Aids Program  Conduct individual assessments in open access and during patrols to obtain necessary information for service delivery  Follow the rules of outreach during field visits including necessary steps to ensure safety of the team and the indivual
