1.    Introduction Position English Trainer Reporting to Development Facilitator Duration July 15 till September 15 2015 Location Dreib Al Awssat, Akkar, Lebanon     2.    DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT   Economic opportunities for the youth of Lebanon are scant. A recent publication shows that the Lebanese youth have highest unemployment rate in comparison to other age groups. The opportunities for youth in Lebanon’s peripheral and rural areas are expected to be scarcer. The project aims to the employability and participation of young people by: Strengthening their employment skills and improving their employment possibilities through - employment skills training, - occupational training, - entrepreneurship training and business plan creation, Strengthening their life skills and active participation to the development of their communities through life skills training, - leadership training, - promotion of active participation, and - development of a youth volunteer model and network for the benefit of the communities, and enhance their talent in different art.   3.    THE PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOP   Our approach is to build the capacity of the youth in different domain and give them the necessary tools to be well prepared for work environment, English Language is considered as the business language all over the world, so the youth employment project is looking to give the youth the capacity to read, understand and write the business English properly.   4.    Scope of work   The Trainer will: Understand the context of youth employment project and its objective in Dreib Al Awsat through meetings with the Development facilitator. Review the Semi Annual Report of Youth employment project to ensure that the trainer is aware of the youth profile and capacity. Prepare, conduct and correct a placement test for the Youth, and divide them into 2 levels: -       Level 1: Basic English courses for those who are fair in English -       Level 2: Business English courses for those who practice well English.   Prepare a Handout and visual material before each session for the youth, and ensure they are being reviewed with the development facilitator before 2 or 3 days.   Conduct all the needed sessions/classes between July and September as agreed with the Development facilitator.     Prepare, conduct and correct two exams at the end of each month.   4. Deliverables The trainer will have 2 months to complete all the tasks outlined in section 3 above. The assignment includes both office and field work. The trainer will be working closely with the Economic Development – Development Facilitator. During and at the end of the assignment, the trainer is expected to deliver: A weekly report to evaluate the progress of each youth.     A final report showing the achievement and the tools used during the classes. 5. Work Period All the classes are expected to be held between 15/07/2015 to 15/09/2015, 3 days per week, 2 hours per day for each level. In total the trainer will be giving 4 hours per day / and 3 days per week.       NEEDED QUALIFICATIONS   - Background and experience in English teaching  - Previous experience in facilitating trainings on youth skills training. - Strong English communication skills - Experience working with Youth and children  - Knowledge about youth needs and expectations     Please send your CV along with a cover letter and a quotation including the following: -      Rate per training session excluding transportation costs
