Trainer- Education

Job Purpose: The Trainer serves as part of the organization’s leadership team, providing professional development for teachers, teachers’ assistant, facilitators and monitors/coaches. He/she support and contribute to the wider aim, vision and mission of Ana Aqra Association through:  Maintaining  high quality of learning. Leading the development, organization and delivery of the organizational internal and external trainings /developmental programs.  Equipping staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks. Improving instructional practices at the classroom level. Improving student achievement.     Duties & Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the trainer include: 1- Plan, prepare and deliver high quality training: Ensure that all trainings meet quality standards and organizational expectations. Actively engage and participate in all professional development/trainings. Acquire and update the knowledge, skills, and instructional strategies related to relevant pedagogies. Collect and analyze data from the field to improve trainings delivered. Evaluate trainings and development programs. 2- Ensure trainings meet trainees’ needs and expectations: Identify training and development needs. Monitor and review the progress of trainees. Provide regular feedback to help manage trainees’ performance. Actively promote trainees autonomy and reflective practice. 3- Participate in the development of high quality of teaching by: Work with teachers (in teams or individually) to improve their knowledge and skills.  Training, in-class coaching, observing and modeling of instructional strategies. Analyze data regarding teachers’ and students’ performance. Organize and implement problem-solving actions with teachers/trainees. 4- Monitor instructional effectiveness and trainees’ progress through: Use monitoring, assessment and evaluation tools. Observe, document and submit reports. Follow up visits and re-training. 5- Maintain trustful relationship with trainees and colleagues Build and maintain trustful; confidential and respective relationships with teachers, facilitators, monitors, students and other staff members. Give constructive and objective feedback to ensure professioanl development. Document and write reports on all trainings and all field visits. Qualifications: Trainers who are candidates to be selected for this job preferably to be qualified as a teacher, knowledgeable in content, and skilled in the sophisticated practices of planning and running training sessions: Postgraduates are preferable, with min of 3 years training experience. Experience in teacher training and adult education. Deep knowledge of the relevant content balanced literacy. Comprehensive knowledge and use of a rich array of instructional approaches, resources, and technologies. Interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills are required to effectively facilitate training and staff development. Ability to prepare and conduct needed quality training for teachers and staff. Knowledge of equity issues in current education reform.
