DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dkAbout the jobThe Protection Monitoring Assistant will be responsible of conducting house hold and individual monitoring visit to ensure compliance and quality control of the cash transfer project (CFR, CFW, Emergency financial assistance)
Duties• Conduct household monitoring visits to DRC beneficiaries and to DRC program sites;• Assist the M&E Officer/Manager carry out the daily/weekly/monthly work plan;• Ensure monitoring schedule, data collection targets, and reporting deadlines are adhered to;• Conduct reconciliation and triangulation of cash transfer documentations• Assist in analyzing collected data and in writing post distribution monitoring reports.• Regularly undertake field monitoring trips to conduct household interviews, post-distribution monitoring, focus group discussions, and community visits;• Identify and refer/report individuals with special needs, protection concerns, and any problems with DRC services to M&E Officer/Manager and relevant program staff;• Ensure timely reporting on monitoring activities;
About you To be successful in this role you must have minimum of 1 years of relevant work experience – preferably in social work, community development, non-government, and/or outreach organizations. A degree in social sciences, humanities, quantitative/qualitative research methods, public health, statistics or related field; IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite (Excel experience preferred); Excellent interpersonal skills and team player; Fluency in Arabic and English.
Ideally you will also have previous experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings; Previous experience working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon; Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation for humanitarian programs in Lebanon, Previous experience in emergency response activities and procedures; Previous experience in all types of cash assistance.
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from Mid-June 2015 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to 1204$ per month.
