The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) is currently seeking a graduate student as a volunteer to assist the work of its Beirut office. Duties: • Media Monitoring: Produce a weekly English media report consisting of major transitional justice developments/news across Lebanon. The report requires extensive monitoring of Arabic and English media newspapers and online news websites.• Communications: Assist with maintenance of media contacts and other databases.• Research: Carry out short-term research tasks in English and Arabic.• Publications: Assist with editing ICTJ publications in terms of layout and formatting.• Attending and taking minutes of meetings.• Other ad-hoc duties and projects will be assigned. The applicant is expected to have a strong interest in human rights and work with a positive attitude, have attention to detail, have a good judgment, and strong proficiency in Arabic and English. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Internet, and any knowledge of design software is a plus.
