  Since the outbreak of the Syria crisis, lebanon has seen its population rise by nearly one third. Many refugees have been hugely traumatized by their experiences in Syria and displacement. Within such a vulnerable population, there are particular concerns for women and young children, the elderly, persons with disabilities and those with existing health problems. Refugees are facing challenges in accessing health services which includes personal financial problems, lack of funds from organizations, distances and security restrictions, which make it difficult for Syrians to travel to clinics.   Blue Mission Organization will implement Mobile Primary Health Care Services, funded by Islamic Relief World Wide, for Syrian refugees and host community. The primary health care services of the mobile clinic will provide services for at least 20 shelters and settlements across South lebanon, Chouf and Jezzine. The goal of the project is to improve the health status of refugee and host community children and women within the target areas. Job description Under the direct supervision of the Health Project Manager, and the program manager, the Medical Doctor is responsible for ensuring the provision of quality Primary Health Care services to Syrian refugees and host community, respect of the medical procedures established in the framework of the project, as well as of Blue Mission Organization overall principles and strategy defined by the Project Manager, Health Manager.   Responsibilities and tasks Ensuring the quality of the health activities To provide technical support for the implementation and management of the medical activities implemented in the framework of the referral system. To ensure that the preventive and curative healthcare services are properly implemented To ensure an accurate follow-up of the drugs consumption and the rational predetermined list, the nurses in charge of the pharmacy stock and the Health Manager. To contribute to improving safe prescribing and administration of medications as well as control unnecessary prescribing of the medications and medical tests. To propose the ways to deal with any referral cases that requires an extensive investigation and management.
