Trainers for roster at Search for common Ground Lebanon Search for Common Ground (SFCG) is a non-governmental organization working to transform the way societies deal with conflicts. We have acquired over 30 years of experience in peacebuilding and are based in 53 local offices worldwide. SFCG first worked in Lebanon in 1996, and we opened up our office here in 2008. The issues we address are multiple, such as conflicts arising within Lebanon's diverse society, tensions resulting from the increasing influx of Syrian refugees, security sector reform, as well as women’s socio-economic empowerment. In each project we seek to engage all stakeholders and strengthen local capacities in order to create sustainable change and increase social cohesion. Summary of Position SFCG is looking for training consultants (trainers) in: -          Mediation -          Conflict resolution/transformation -          Non violent communication (NVC) Consultants must have: -          A track record of successful training workshops conducted in Lebanon and/or the region -          Minimum 3 years of experience as trainers -          Technical qualifications and certifications in minimum one of the 3 topics mentioned above -          Bachelor’s Degree in a related area (Master’s Degree preferred), preferably in conflict resolution, international studies, peace-building, human rights or related area. -          Fluency in English as well as Arabic -          Familiarity with the practice of peacebuilding and conflict transformation and the Lebanese context. Skills • Proven ability to negotiate multiple relationships with various target groups. • Dynamic leader with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations • Excellent interpersonal skills   • Spoken and written fluency in Arabic and English and/or French. • Track record of curriculum development for training in a broad range of context. • Track record of conducting training in highly divided communities. • Strong oral and written communications skills. • Demonstrated reporting skills. • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
