Under the overall supervision of IOM Head of Office in Lebanon and the direct supervision of the Emergency Response & Recovery Officer in Beirut and the Information Management Officer, the incumbent will be primarily responsible for collecting field data. S/He will have direct contact with Lebanese Returnees and have a great bearing on the quality of data collected and ultimately on the quality of data output.
The duties and responsibilities of the field enumerator are as follows:
Pre-Enumeration duties:
Participate in enumerators’ training/workshop
Receive enumeration materials and equipment from the team leader
Enumeration duties:
Locate sample members
Set interview dates with respondents
Conduct interviews with respondents
Record responses as instructed
Comply with the requirements necessary for conducting a successful interview
Post-Enumeration duties:
Report the number of surveys collected and any unusual situations to the team leader on a daily basis
Ensure that enumerator checklist is complete
Ensure that all questionnaires and equipment are accounted for
Turn over all literature and materials used in the survey to the team leader
Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected
