Casual Data Collectors

OXFAM PURPOSE: To work with others to find lasting solutions to poverty and suffering. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Oxfam’s MEAL  Team (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) to ensure quality data collection from the field on casual basis; Attend training sessions before activities are conducted; Conduct interviews using digital data collection technology in selected areas in Bekaa; Participate in post-data collection debriefs and discussions; Be available to provide clarifications during the data analysis phase; Perform the data entry from surveys into Excel after the data collection, if necessary. Note: transportation before/after/during the data collection will be paid by Oxfam. SKILLS AND COMPETENCE: Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree  in social sciences, or a relevant field from a recognised university; Experience in research (quantitative and qualitative) is an advantage; Experience in data collection and/or data entry in particular is an advantage; Excellent knowledge of and practical experience with MS Office, especially with Excel (Excel 2003, 2007 or 2010); Good command of English and Arabic (reading, writing and speaking). Solid speaking and reading skills in Arabic are an absolute must; Experience working with refugees or disadvantaged people is preferable; Strong commitment to gender equality and social justice, as well as Oxfam’s mission; Excellent ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, and excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work under pressure, ability to prioritize and commitment to meet deadlines; Potential and flexibility of attitude towards learning.
