Minimum required knowledge & experience:
University degree in Psychology by preference, we will consider also candidates with Social Work academic background if they fulfil the profile
Work experience in a psycho-social program or/and in relation to the problematic of the Missing would be an asset
Excellent knowledge of both Arabic and English, both written and spoken, is mandatory
Excellent knowledge of the various traditions and of the recent history of Lebanon
Good computer skills
Function description:
Under the supervision of the MHPSS delegate, provides technical support in the implementation of the “Missing” program in Lebanon
Trains and supervises the network of accompaniers
Analyses the information collected by the accompaniers and reports
Supervises the referrals system for Mental Health cases identified amongst beneficiaries
Interprets Arabic/ English accurately and translates documents as required
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Mental Health Field Officer’s primary function is to guarantee the highest impact of the approach to identify the needs of the Families of the Missing and contribute to their psycho-social well-being through the optimal implementation of the Accompaniment of the Families of the Missing. To do so, he/she will train and supervise the Accompaniers, and participate to activities of the peer support groups to contribute his/her specialist advice and follow up.
