Who are we?The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. Duties
• Identify settlements of vulnerable women and girls in the catchment areas of the centre-based activities; • To supervise mobile PSS, recreational and awareness activities in informal settlements, collective centres and other community spaces by creating a safe setting where women and girls can express their feelings and needs;• To supervise and monitor the work of the animators when applicable (who support the implementation of the PSS and recreational activities);• Carry out field visits and conduction of information sessions on available services, reproductive health, hygiene, etc.; • Identification and referrals of GBV survivors for case management and other specialized services; • Assist in establishing community support committees for women and girls. Committees should be linked with DRC community centers or safe spaces (incl. recruitment, commitment, development of terms of reference)
About youQualifications & Experience:a) Essential qualifications: • Bachelor in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field, masters preferred• Full knowledge about GBV related issues • Very good communication skills with children, caregivers and local stakeholders
b) Essential experience:• At least 2 years of experience in provision of psychosocial support activities mainly with children; • Experience working as or with animators;• Previous experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings• Previous experience working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon

You must be willing and able to work in Akkar.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. Basic Salary: 1413 USD
