Regional Audit Senior, Middle East & Eastern European Region (Meer)

PURPOSE OF POSITION:This position is designed to provide major contribution to Regional InternalAudit Team successful audit and advisory mission delivery within Middle Eastand Eastern Europe region.An audit senior reports to the Regional Audit Supervisor. The Audit Senior mustprove high standards of professional and social ethics and must accept fullresponsibility as the in-charge experienced auditor for engagements of varyingsize and complexity to include, planning and coordinating the various phases ofthe field work, directing and reviewing the work of a number of assistants isassigned, and making decisions on all but the most unusual accounting andauditing matters. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be ableto perform each essential duty satisfactorily.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform and supervise the broadest range of auditing issues from start tofinish, oversee larger and more complex engagements, potentially one or moreassignments simultaneously.Plan and coordinate the various phases of the fieldwork such as staffrequirements, logistics, audit programs, and time budgets.Active engagement with senior offices’ staff in order to gain a goodunderstanding of their business and ensure the efficient execution of the audit.Evaluate the client’s internal controls using Risk Chart; prepare an auditprogram outlining the extent of sampling required, schedule the engagement.Ensure complete and timely engagement wrap-up to include preparation and/orreview of audit or advisory reports, may coordinate closing meetings withclients.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Required:Bachelor degree in Audit, Accounting, Finance or related field.Considerable knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice ofInternal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of InternalAuditors.Three (3) plus years of audit experience in public accounting orinternal/external audit.Ability to travel up to 40%. This role involves working in a virtual /geographically dispersed /multi-culturally team.Preferred:Professional audit certifications (ACCACPA, CIA, CISA) finalised or in advancedstage of certification process.Must be able to effectively work with new and changing situations including newregulations where there may not always be a readily apparent solution.Good analytical, interpersonal, time management, research and communicationsskills.Risk Based auditing proven experience.Cross cultural experience.
