Wash Team Leader - Beirut Base

General objective   Under the direct supervision of the Field Implementation Manager, the WASH Team Leader is responsible for the qualitative, quantitative and timely implementation of all the Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene activities. He/she coordinates and monitors the work of all Senior Field Officers, Field Officers and Field Workers dedicated to these activities and he/she is responsible for a qualitative and regular reporting on various components of the project.       Responsibilities and tasks   Activities implementation Supervise and coordinate the field implementation of all program activities; Plan (daily and weekly) the field activities, supervise Senior Field Officers, Field Officers, Field Workers and any potential contractors and ensure a follow-up of the different activities regarding the agreed planning, guideline, and required quality of the works; Ensure that all measures have been taken and rules followed to ensure security on-site; Give an expertise and contribute to the improvement of activities through critics, analysis and suggestions to the Technical Advisors.   Assessment, monitoring & evaluation of activities Assess regularly the WASH implementation and determine adjustment needs; Collect any relevant information from the communities and partners for referral system; Analyze and monitor the results of the WASH activities.   Community mobilization Responsible of the communication between PU-AMI and the Communities regarding the implementation of the WASH activities; Introduce the WASH activities to the Communities; Mobilize and encourage the Communities for the activities (daily and free worker); Organize meeting with Communities according to the different MoU.   Team Management Supervise the Senior Field Officers, Field Officers, Field Workers and ensure the respect of all human resources rules; To manage the Wash Officers/Workers working on the wash activities in the supported facilities and in the communities; To coordinate the work of all Senior Field Officers, Field Officers, Field Workers dedicated to these activities : weekly/daily planning explain during weekly/daily team meetings, daily planning prepared at least the day before to maximize the officers’s efficiency.   Capacity building To do regular monitoring of Wash officer’s work by constantly visiting to the areas of intervention and getting feedback when not directly on the field To train new Wash Field Officers/Workers on the activities implemented in the framework of the project. To solve team conflicts, if any, and ensure team building To support each Wash Field Officer/Worker in improving his/her performance To conduct appraisals every six months with each Wash Field Officer/Worker Develop any pedagogical and methodological tools adapted to the local context.     Logistic & administration Define the needs in materials and tools regarding the program and the planning of interventions; Ensure the follow-up and the proper use of materials and tools used during on-site works; Manage the supply of materials to the work site in collaboration with logistics department; Use the PU-AMI forms for all exchange with the logistic & administration services; Analyze the security situation in the area and inform the Field Implementation Manager on the security incidents.     Reporting Collect all information and orally reports on the progress of WASH activities on a daily basis; Make a weekly report in English on the progress of activities; Report immediately any delay, problem or other relevant information to the Field Implementation Manager
