Fire Fighting & First Aid Training

1.      Programme Background The protection team works to improve the safety of the civilians, in Lebanon we work mainly in Bekka and North (T+5) with Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese communities.   The main objective of the consultancy is to deliver fire fighting and first aid training in different locations in west and north Bekaa. The aim is to conduct 6 to 8 sessions each topic. 20 trainees each session. The session is to be for four hours maximum.   The Fire fighting training Prevention of fire in the tents and general Safe practices in the tents Types of fire and types of fire extinguishers Practical part ( how to control the fire on a tent, gas cylinder , cooking gas)   The First Aid training Prevention of major incident Burns Suffocation Wounds                                                      2.      Tasks   Under the direct supervision of Protection Officer   -          Prepare the training agenda and material -          Facilitate training sessions in Arabic for Syrian refugees in the Bekaa camps. 3.      Deliverables   -          Draft agenda of the training for discussion ahead of the meeting to cover the practical and the theoretical part. -          Training material (in the form of presentations, main topics, or documents and references and Training fire extinguisher ,training  gas cylinder , training cooking gas -          Final agenda of the training -          Narrative report covering the days of the training    4.      Required skills and competencies  (firms/team members/individuals)  -          Five years or more experience in fire fighting and first aid  with all tools; -          Experience in conducting similar trainings -          Usage of simple Arabic language -          Availability and readiness to travel with Bekaa area. -          Ability to reflect their experience on the Informal tented settlements -          Ability to work in close coordination with other team members.         Desirable skills:   -        Previous experience of working with Oxfam, NGOs and INGOs.   Reporting lines /coordination   The reporting and coordination will be directly to/with Protection officer.
