For more information on MSI, please visit our website at www.msiworldwide.com. Project Summary: The Lebanon Community Resilience Initiative (LCRI) is a project funded by USAID/OTI. LCRI provides strategically targeted support to advance peace and stability in Lebanon. **Please note: Only Lebanese citizens are eligible for this position.** Position Summary: In coordination with the Program Development Officer (PDO), the Field Officer and the Grants Specialist, the Field Logistics Officer will be responsible for supporting Lebanon Community Resilience Initiative (LCRI) project activity implementation teams with administrative, procurement, logistical and operational needs. The FLO must be a resident of Central or North Bekaa, and the bulk of her/his work will take place in those areas, though she/he will be required to come to Beirut at least once per week for coordination meetings. Responsibilities: Routinely liaise with PDO and Grants Specialist to assist in in maintaining communication with grantees and following up on any needed communication or documentation. Work daily with Procurement Specialist to confirm delivery of goods and services to grantees and to report any issues related to procured goods. Learn and apply LCRI procurement policies and procedures in support of project activities. This will include issuing solicitations, gathering quotations, meeting with vendors, requesting/delivering payments, tracking inventory, and assisting grantees in planning their procurement needs. Monitor ongoing grants, which include: attending activity events, gathering information requested by LCRI staff in Beirut, writing updates and reports on grant impact and progress and attending coordination meetings for grant activities. Assist Grant Specialist and Procurement Specialist with processing grantee paperwork when needed. Monitor grantee to ensure that grant implementation adheres to grantee concept and timeline. Provide technical assistance to potential grantees as required during the grants preparation stage, including grant application and grant budget preparation. Organize regional meetings with grantees, focus groups, community leaders and members. Contribute pictures and supporting documents to the grant file. Support the Monitoring and Evaluation officer in the collection of raw data for input into the database. Coordinate LCRI project events, conferences and activities, including site selection and logistics.  Perform other tasks as requested by the Chief of Party and the Operations Manager as well as the supervising PDO.  Contribute to LCRI’s security network by coordinating any information about security/travel issues with the LCRI Security/Logistics Officer. Qualifications: University degree in Social Sciences or related field. Strong networks and ties within communities of the Bekaa.  Ability to handle multiple priorities, events, projects and accurately report on progress. Must be able to communicate in spoken and written English and be fluent in Arabic. Experience working in community development preferred.
