Job Overview/Summary Based on the principles of human rights and child right SAWA group targets children, youth and parents with cultural, social, educational and environmental objectives. Allowing children to live in protect and peaceful family environment. SAWA collaborating with UNICEF under the program of Child Protection is seeking a Child protection social worker to respond to crises and emergencies as well as to everyday personal and social problems and be committed to improve the lives of individuals in need of help and support. Acting all times according to guiding principles of Child Protection case management.   Job Purpose: Child Protective Social Worker responsible for accessing, identifying and documenting harmed, abuse and neglect cases of Syrian refugees and most vulnerable Lebanese children finding the most appropriate services to enhance child welfare. Child Protective Social Worker must be able to identify immediate threats made to a child and provide arrangements that comply with state and federal laws and agency procedures. These duties may include, but are not limited to: Providing counseling and support services to children and parents Referring children and families to other services if necessary Acting according to the best interests of the child Anti-Discriminatory practice   List of responsibilities and duties: To get a better idea of what the job is all about: Provide support to vulnerable individuals/Children/families with Protection concerns in the process of psychosocial support and case management. Plan and conduct psychosocial assessment of vulnerable cases and camp visits to assess the living conditions of the cases. Investigate child abuse or neglect cases and take authorized protective action when necessary. Counsel children /families in individual and group sessions to help them overcome dependencies recover from illness and adjust to life. Ensure the preparation of accurate case plans for high-risk cases identified with clear outcomes and time-frame. Manage, fill and archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and daily and weekly reporting for Senior Social Worker ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timelines. Monitor, evaluate and record each case progress according to measurable goals described in Child Protection case management Participate in all activities for awareness, recreational and psychosocial conducted in or outside the center.   Other Tasks: Collaborate closely with other organization in order to ensure smooth referral. Represent SAWA association in training in and outside the center and participate actively in weekly case management team and child protection team meetings. Collaborate with other professionals and other caseworkers to evaluate patients medical or physical condition and to assess their needs. Be available to provide basic emotional support for urgent cases. Required Personal Qualities/Skills: Excellent communication skills: Active listening, Social perceptiveness, Critical thinking, Coordination, Service orientation… Able to handle pressure and working in the field. Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Power Point, Internet.) Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English Commitment to the minimum standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action
