Programme Officer

-        Contribute to the project implementation in line with the agreed action plan with the project Manager and project partners, and ensure timely responses; -        Facilitate the implementation of CFUWI implemented activities through coordination with the local community actors and with partners in Lebanon and in the region; -        Support the project manager with the development of various TORs and support with recruitment of consultants and ensure the qualifications match the scope of the work/assignment; -        Consolidate reports on the project implemented activities and enhance learning; -        Facilitate learning and linkages among local staff and partner organizations; -        Contribute to the periodic monitoring of the project as well as learning reviews and ensure proper documentation; -        Capture learning and document the work of successful stories, to ensure that the projects’ inputs are producing positive results in the lives of women; -        Participate in the meetings with the project stakeholders as requested by the project manager; -        Conduct administrative tasks, and coordinate activities to support the national and regional events as planned, including training, workshops and conferences; -        Prepare payment requests, floats as needed; -        Lead on specific trainings; -        Assist in other tasks as requested by the Project Manager and as deemed necessary for programme development. -        Develop communication messages relevant to the programme work and streamlining the project messaging; -        Conceptualize and develop creative communication actions and tools for the projects, including tailored tools the projects’ target groups; -        Develop media communication, including drafting press briefings and press releases, their distribution to the target groups and monitor the preparation of press clippings; -          Assist in promotion and dissemination of advocacy materials for launching initiatives and publications; -          Use multi-media and social media solutions in communication strategies;

 University degree in social science or related discipline, including gender and development;
Proven track record of working in a similar capacity with the nation and/or international NGOs in the region;
 Knowledge of gender and gender equality;
 Experience in field coordination, monitoring and follow up;
 Experience in event management and coordination;
 Highly skilled in report writing;
 Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic including demonstrable ability to work with others and as part of a team;
 Knowledge and skills in computer usage including word, excel, power point, and social media;
 Willingness to travel for sustained periods of time;
 Good organizational skills;
 Effective member of team and role model; demonstrates creativity in seeking better ways to do things and shares with team, and promotes high standards.
 Takes responsibility for own work and delegated project/processes (including some leadership);
 Anticipates problems and regularly provides solutions.
