  Terms of Reference Driver SSCL is a committee of Local NGOs, International NGOs, United Nations (UN), International Organizations (IO), Implementing Governments and Civil Society Non-Profit Organizations who coordinate and share information, resources and training on safety and security in Lebanon. SSCL Mission Statement: To enhance the safety and security of international and local organizations operating in the humanitarian, development and civil society sector in Lebanon by fostering awareness and analysis, risk management, information sharing, coordination and best practice.   The Values of SSCL: P.I.E. – Predictive, Innovative, Enabling. SSCL Driver To drive SSCL vehicles, being responsible for the vehicle, the passengers, equipment and their safety   Key Responsibilities: Driving: To drive at a safe and legal speed as requested by Logistics. To wear a seat belt and ensure that passengers in the front seats also wear their seat belts at all times. To immediately notify manager as well as the local authorities of any accident in which the vehicle is involved.   General To ensure correct loading and unloading of the vehicle. To keep the vehicle clean and road-worthy, re-fuel and ensure that the tank never falls below half tank capacity. This includes daily and weekly checks. To complete the vehicle log book, and ensure tools and spare parts, first aid kit and spare tyre(s) are in kept in the vehicle and are in good condition. To be aware of radio procedures. To make sure all necessary vehicle documents (e.g. insurance, registration documents, etc.) are present in the vehicle and up to date.  To immediately report any technical failure, damage or need for maintenance to the manager, and note details in the vehicle log book. To keep track of the scheduled service time of the vehicle, to make sure that servicing is performed in time. To assist in small local purchases and general logistic activities. Requirements   Skills Required Valid driving license, sound driving skills and experience (a test must be carried out by appropriate Logistic staff). Sufficient written and spoken English Basic servicing and maintenance skills. Flexibility and willingness to work long hours. Embraces culturally diversity and highly tolerant A sense of humor is absolutely mandatory.
