We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated M&E Officer for the DRC Field Office in Qobayat. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the jobDuties and ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities • Under the direction of the M&E Coordinator and Akkar Head of Office (HoO), the M&E Officer is responsible for supporting all monitoring and data collection activities at the Akkar Field Office level – including the monthly program monitoring schedule, regular field visits, and qualitative/observation-based data collection activities; • Assist the M&E Coordinator/HoO in planning and implementing all M&E activities at the field level;• Assist the M&E Coordinator/HoO with the daily/weekly/monthly work plan and all administrative/logistics aspects of managing the M&E FO team;• Capacity development and support of the Monitoring Assistant team. Specific Tasks• Provide direct assistance to the M&E Coordinator to design and implement M&E activities in Akkar;• Liaise with the administration, logistics, and safety focal points to ensure M&E activities are correctly planned and resourced;• Ensure M&E activities are completed according to DRC standards and schedules, including timely reporting and referrals of special cases to relevant programs/sectors or the HAP focal point;• Track and compile progress reports on M&E activities and findings at the FO level;• Disseminate monthly M&E reports to the HoO and the M&E Coordinator (Beirut);• With support from the M&E Coordinator (Beirut), design and implement the training and capacity development program for the Monitoring Assistant team;• All other duties related to M&E as directed by the M&E Coordinator/HoO. About you• To be successful in this role you must have A Bachelor degree with complementary and relevant professional experience and  at least three years relevant professional experience working in emergency, development, community, or social work sectors. Experience in participatory assessments and monitoring, quantitative and qualitative data processing/analysis, facilitation and interviews with groups and individuals. • Ideally you will also have Strong IT skills – particularly using database software and processing /analyzing quantitative data. Good contextual knowledge of the Akkar  area – including local issues, community priorities, social and cultural realities and constraints, and organizational relationships, a commitment to humanitarian principles and honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability. Strong report writing skills. Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic. Knowledge or experience implementing HAP. We offerAn interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world.
