Logistician

Job Summary                     Provide logistical support to the country programme   Duties and Responsibilities   Procurement Process all appropriately authorised supplies requests, ensuring that goods, services and works are procured to the specifications required, within the required timescales, at a manageable price point, and in line Concern policies. Become familiar with specifications and requirements of requested goods and services and seek confirmation from technical staff as necessary. Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and transportation arrangements and advise relevant staff of the same. Develop and maintain a procurement tracking sheet, and circulate this to departmental managers on a weekly basis. Liaise with department managers on a daily basis to keep them up to date with problematic procurements. Develop and maintain a database of preferred suppliers. Support departmental managers to develop procurement plans. Liaise with other NGOs procurement staff to identify new suppliers.    Warehousing and Fleet management In the absence of the Logistics Manager, oversee the work of the storekeeper to ensure that all stock is correctly issued into and out of the stores, and held in appropriate conditions. With the Logistics Manager, conduct sample stock checks on a monthly basis, and full stock checks on a 6 monthly basis. In the absence of the Transport Manager, take over the transport management function of the office.   Other To adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct. To support and promote the standards outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct to their team, partner organisations and beneficiaries, and be committed to providing a safe working environment. To contribute to the establishment of preventive measures to reduce the potential for abuse in Concern programme (as per P4 section 6). Undertake other appropriate tasks that support the work of Concern in Lebanon as requested.
