For more than 30 years, Médecins du Monde, a campaigning medical organization committed to international solidarity, has been caring for the most vulnerable populations at home and abroad. It has continued to highlight obstacles that exist in accessing health care and has secured sustainable improvements in health-for-all policies. Those working for this independent organisation do not solely dispense care and treatment but condemn violations of human dignity and rights and fight to improve matters for populations living in precarious situations.
MdM currently works in 46 countries across all continents where it focuses on 4 priority areas: caring for the health of migrants and displaced persons, promoting sexual and reproductive health, combating HIV and reducing the harm and risks associated with drug use, crises and conflicts.
TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES :
Under the supervision of the study coordinator, you will be responsible to supervise a team of 6 interviewers, and report daily all necessary information.
Your main activities will be:
- Daily supervision and management of 6 interviewers.
- Help in problem solving among the team.
- Evaluate needs for additional training and supervision of team members.
- Ensure training and guidance of the team members (formal/informal).
- Liaison and representation with local authorities.
- Ensure all questionnaires are carried out and communicate with team members.
- Monitoring and reporting of data collection activities (check surveys for correction, completion and timeliness).
-Complete daily debrief forms, including calculations of total households visited, completed surveys and villages.
- Ensure relevant transfer of information to the study coordinator.
- Report immediately to study coordinator any problem arising in the service, especially the loss, robbery, damage of equipment or any staff safety issues.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Starting date: flexible (between end of February till mid-March).
Contract: service contract, working schedule around 25 days.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
At least one year of experience conducting in field research in Lebanon.
Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, or work with Syrian refugees in Lebanon or in a humanitarian context.
Experience setting up and delivering field surveys and data analysis preferred.
Experience in managing small team will be valued.
Advanced university degree in social sciences, public health, medical related fields preferably, with knowledge of survey methodologies.
You are flexible with scheduling
You are able to work with a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team,
You are open-minded.
You have good communication, an ability to listen and willingness to travel throughout Lebanon.
You are able to conduct health and medical-related interviews.
Attention to detail and reliability
You are familiar with android smartphone/tablet platform
Languages: Arabic fluent, English fluent.
