Deputy Area Manager (Bekaa)

ROLE DIMENSION / DESCRIPTION Promote WVL's Vision, Mission, Core Values and key NO and partnership standards and practices among staff and partners ensuring that these form the core foundation of all work in the programme area. Set and monitor performance targets, and establish operational priorities for the projects in Bekaa ADP in alignment with the project goals, WVL’s Strategy, Vision, Mission  and Core Values. In collaboration with the Bekaa Area Manager, direct the successful implementation of a fully integrated projects ensuring seamless inter-project coordination in the Bekaa ADP. Ensure adequate projects documentation and successful achievement of project targets, child and community well being outcomes and other ministry focused key performance metrics; Provide effective leadership to Project Managers within the Bekaa ADP, imparting appropriate mentorship, coaching and supervision in order to equip, motivate and empower a new generation of program leaders within World Vision Lebanon. Timely compilation of professional and high quality periodic reports, meeting National Office and donor-reporting requirements. Ensure that all reports are accurate, comprehensive, well documented and guarantee the credibility of the program/ ADP and grants in the area. Review and provide feedback to project documents, DIPs, baseline surveys and evaluation reports for Bekaa, for compliance to WV standards, national office strategic direction and ensure that this is communicated to respective Office as appropriate. Ensure that tools are in place and in use to systematically track and report data on child well being targets Coordinate with operations and finance staff to ensure compliance with implementation and financial standards and policies of both the Partnership and the donors. Ensure proactive and continuous monitoring of program implementation, financial performance, and reporting through on-going program, projects and grants. Implement internal controls, ensuring compliance with pre-determined World Vision requirements, controls and procedures. Ensure all projects Implement audit recommendations report and comply with WV standards Continually monitor progress of projects and programs, ensuring program systems and staff are working to achieve goals and objectives and program is maintaining World Vision International and donor accountability standards. Carry out performance management for the project staff (performance agreement and appraisals) in a timely manner.   Knowledge & Skills Strong development facilitation and community organization skills Track record demonstrating high integrity, reliable and dependable Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (written and oral). Networking and influencing skills A proven multiplier with ability to work with minimal supervision. Essential Minimum three (3) years experience in programme/project management and proven track record in people and successful projects management.
