Education Coordinator (Ec/nbekaa/unhcr)

Education Coordinator   Within the framework of the initiatives promoted in the Bekaa Governorate in support of people affected by the Syrian crisis and funded by UNHCR, TdH – It is looking for two Education Coordinators to supervise the teams on the field in order to manage the implementation of the project.   Main duties and responsibilities Monitor the quality of the project educational activities defining methodological standards; Prepare and write final report on the evaluation of educational activities; Develop a paper concerning educational tools, best practices and way of implementation of education in emergency activities, to be used as TdH - It reference document in Lebanon. Evaluate the progress in learning and the learning abilities of the beneficiaries Supervise the organization of awareness training on children’s right and on the importance of education and positive discipline among the target population; Be the representative of TdH - It towards local, national and international institutions and organization according to the PM indications and in line with TdH – It’s education project strategy; Participate in coordination meetings with national and international institutions and education cluster where appropriate; Analyse technical added-value and project impact; set up technical evaluation exercises during and following implementation; Manage logistics processes to procure, store and distribute stock, supplies and services for the timely delivery of project objectives; Oversee and support TDH-It field staff in the planning and provision of the project activities; To ensure monitoring of project implementation in accordance with the Logical Framework; To ensure data collection and sources of verification; To program regular visits to the and  to ensure the quality of the project supporting in the process of monitoring and evaluation; To organize and carry on needs and vulnerability assessments; Timely identify, inform and discuss any issues with the Project Manager; To work closely and effectively with TDH-It Lebanon staff; Ensure a strict adherence to TDH-It Child Protection Policy at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centred approach.   Qualifications, experience and competencies   -          At least one year of experience working in child centred programming in the region -          Knowledge in planning, monitoring and evaluation including developing tools and supporting local partners -          Experience in psychosocial support programming -          Good writing skills -          Capacity to work in team and flexibility to take on new tasks. -          Strong social and communication skills -          Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds -          Fluency in English and Arabic. Knowledge of Italian language is an asset. -          Driving license required.   Conditions Full time job of 40 hours per week, distributed in five days according the needs of the program.
