Who are we
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties• Under the direction of the CSMC Manager, the CSMC Assistant (Reporting) works as a part of the CSMC team to design/develop, test, maintain, support and improve the information management activities which are core sector of CSMC intervention;• Obtain, compile and analyze data from Collective Sites and disseminate in appropriate formats in order to improve the programmatic decision making and advocacy process; • Ensure data collected by the field team are consistent;• Ensure proper filing system of both hard and soft copies;• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for data planning, collection, recording and reporting requirements for field staff.• Support with development of database matrix according to reporting and information management needs;• Support Officer with provision of data for weekly and monthly report;• Support with production of Collective Site and Community Centre profiles;• Produce and file statistical and graphical reports;
About youTo be successful in this role you must have Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other relevant field with significant professional experience. Also, at least two years relevant professional experience working in emergency, development, community, or social work sectors. Previous professional experience in database systems (such as PostgreSQL, SQL server, MySQL). Proven proficiency with Office package.
Ideally you will also have an advanced university degree (Masters/Postgraduate Diploma) in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. As well as, basic understanding of data security and encryption tools. Proven knowledge of ODK data collection/coding and Form hub. Proven experience in training and capacity building
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a six month contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from the 1st of February 2015 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to a basic salary of 1,204 USD per month.
