-Scope of responsibility:
The counsellor/PTE performs comprehensive counselling and education to patients; according to context in mental health activities. An interest of a social-communitarian approach is essential.
-Function responsibilities include:
Provide psycho education for targeted population.
Increase awareness and help reducing stigma towards mental health.
Provide individual counselling.
Provide support groups sessions.
Refer patients to the relevant health professional when necessary.
At all time, be available to liaise with clinic’s medical personnel for the benefit of the patients.
Keep statistics updated about his/her activity in contributing to data collection as required.

Education in psychology, social work, or other relevant fields such as social sciences.
Fluent Arabic required ability to communicate in English.

Ability to be self-directed and take initiative.
Open-minded, patient.
Interest in psycho-social and mental health related issues is expected.
