Scope of responsibility: Under the responsibility of the Health Educator  Supervisor/ Flying  PSEC (Technical advisor) Carry out interface-activities between the health structure supported by MSF and the population, in accordance with the MSF health activities Carry out comprehensive health education sessions based on specific messages from the medical department and through materials developed and validated by by health education supervisors both in the clinic and in the community Carry out in the community active case finding (new, defaulters..), assessment, referrals, as requested from HP supervisor and according to the need of the project Carry  out special group sessions for health education on the specific health program (NCD, PHC, SRH or MH)   Activities: In the Community: Deliver information to the community about MSF (principles, values, services and locations), when requested from HP supervisor and to previously discussed areas. Deliver information to the community about specific health issues as requested from HP supervisor and using validated tools provided by HP supervisor. Report any relevant information about health problems or outbreaks in the communities to HP supervisor. Deliver up to date information to the community about other health actors and other service providers depending on the needs Identify cases with social and health problems that could benefit from MSF services and referr them accordingly. In the clinic: Provide health education sessions to the patients in the clinics, individual or grouped, according to planning and schedule with HP supervisor, maintaining a dynamic interaction with them Outreach activities: Perform assessment within the project area according to the need and when requested by HP supervisor. (Settlements, collective shelters, gatherings). Carry out home assessments and active case finding: Identify people with some problems/diseases (keep a count of focused disease cases) and make reference to the health facility supported by MSF. Fully participation in outreach activities with the medical team, such as scabies interventions among others.   Development activities: In collaboration with the HP supervisor and flying PSEC, participate to create the relevant material and adequate strategies for delivering the focused information to the community. Reporting: Submit the weekly planning on time using the weekly planning tools Submit reports as requested by the Health Educator supervisor Report all important information related to the health promotion and education activities that should be communicated to the hierarchy.
