Responsibilities and Duties:
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director for treatment and rehabilitation of torture and trauma survivors, the incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:
Create schedules and follow up on appointments.
Work with the Clinical Director to sustain and grow programs and services.
Manage administrative functions.
Fulfill duties delegated by the Clinical Director.
Conduct researches, identify & implement best practice models.
Keep statistical records.
To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings and reviews (e.g. reporting assessment results or providing feedback on progress in treatment) under the guidance of the head of the rehabilitation unit.
To take minutes of meetings as required.
To maintain patients’ records.
To carry out, as and when required, any additional tasks and responsibilities are reasonable compatible with this job description and its objectives.
Assist the head of rehabilitation unit in observing and evaluating the performance of the psychologists.
shares in the oversight and assessment of daily clinical services (including daytime and after-hours on-call schedules) ensuring that cases are assigned in a timely and appropriate manner
Shares in conducting annual performance evaluations
Provides direct services: Short-term individual and group therapy, intake assessments; outreach; psycho-educational workshops; on-call response to after-hours emergencies
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role you must have strong clinical, time management, writing and organizational skills. Experience in a clinical setting, a Master's degree in Special Education, Social Work or Psychology required
Report writing skills
Research and analytical skills (English, French and Arabic)
Knowledge of MS Office applications and internet browsing
Ability to manage many tasks coordinates with multiple partners, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Flexible and takes initiatives.
Ability to make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, multi-task and set priorities
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to make effective oral presentations, facilitate an open exchange of ideas, and write clear and concise policies and reports
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with and respond to multiple constituencies and make meaningful connections at all levels of a complex
