Accountability Officer

  Humanitarian Accountability: ·         Work closely with the Feedback And Complaints Officers  through field application of principles and standards. (Communication/ information/ sharing/ consultation/ community participation and collecting and acting on feedback and complaints).   ·         Ensure beneficiaries understand key program aspects such as registration, targeting and selection processes through use of various channels. Whether through updating F&C officers or through direct field activities they are involved in.   ·         Work with sectors staff to contextualize project material eg posters, fliers and guidelines including translation of material into vernacular for field use   ·         Advise the Senior Accountability officer immediately in case of serious or sensitive complaints.   ·         Review sector complaints systems including referrals for all the mechanisms together with coordinator & sector leads and facilitate processing and feedback to complainants and management.    ·         Use DME monitoring reports on accountability and indicators  to respond to raised sector specific issues periodically.    ·         Compile and submit quality reports to senior Accountability officer for further consolidation.    ·         Maintain very clear and good filling system which facilitates easy access to project/sector support documents, and other including complains data.   Field Accountability practices:   ·         conduct comprehensive field  activities/visits to follow up on sector complaints and to collect further field feedback.  ·         Develop sector specific Information and awareness package and Facilitate dissemination this  information in close collaboration with sector coordinator and established community structures. ·         Regularly organize field visits ( to meet Feedback focal points), following a structures plan/schedule and document all the data collected.   ·         Ensure results generated by field findings are communicated to Senior HA Officer regularly.   ·         Maintain follow up with sectors committees and project beneficiaries and that the feedback are being regularly collected. Coordination: ·   Facilitate internal coordination with security, logistics and sector leads for  smooth planning of field activities. Coordinate with sector leads to provide any required support generated from the findings collected from  Accountability channels.
