Senior Compliance Officer

Ensure that appropriate finance systems are maintained and that all procedures and controls are implemented. Assist in developing financial systems with their related policies, procedures and controls in order to ensure that cash management and expenditures are being documented, implemented and executed in compliance with the financial standard operating procedures of RI; Conduct continuous research on regulatory practices; identify and communicate regulatory compliance deficiencies or potential risks to the Finance Manager; and identify solutions for corrective actions; Provide on regular basis updates about local laws and taxation and any other related topics. Follow up directly with the Ministry of Finance, Social Security and any other Governmental Institutions in order to ensure that RI is complained with the local laws. Monitor implementation of the RI systems and policies in the office and provide training to the staff on regular basis. Coordinate with the finance team, under the supervision of the Finance Manager, to ensure that the financial management for RI is properly monitored and audited; Assist in the preparation of budgets and accounts to donors as requested. Assist any audit undertaken. Follow up with the partner NGOs to ensure compliance with the project and donor’s requirements, assist Finance Manager in preparation of the training for partner NGOs. Assess the existing internal controls of the NGOs and provide support where needed. Conduct other related tasks requested by supervisor within the level and scope of this position.
