Labor Market Assesment Expert

In the framework on the GET project which is related to the implementation of Guidance and Employment offices in technical schools all around Lebanon, IECD is recruiting an expert to conduct a study on the needs of the Labor market in the industrial sector. The study will focus on the job opportunities and skills needed for the technician position in big, small and medium enterprises. The expert will be asked to: Develop the methodology for assessing skills, identifying job vacancies and regularly update and disseminate information; Carry-out a skills needs analysis and job opportunity study on the industrial sector. The study aims particularly to address SMEs but other enterprises will be included in the sample if judged relevant. Facilitate training of guidance and employment offices in VTE schools  on market research and local skills needs analysis for a maximum of 12 participants; Draft a report on the outcomes of the skills needs analysis and job opportunity study; Deliverables: By end of January 2014 it is expected that the expert submits the following deliverables: A developed and agreed methodology and tools to carry out the market research and local skills needs analysis; A consolidated labour market research and local skills needs analysis and job opportunities; the report will relate to the region selected (in this case Beirut and Mount Lebanon) A report on the results of the labour market research and local skills needs analysis and job opportunities; By end of June 2015, 12 staff from selected schools and DGVTE are trained on the methodology and tools to carry out the market research and local skills needs analysis.
