Advocacy and Campaigning Trainer     DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT   The project aims to contribute to creating an inclusive environment for Children with Disabilities (CWD) in the educational programmes within the Palestine community. With the framework and resources of the action, the specific objective is to mobilize and equip relevant stakeholders in the refugee community (parents, youth, and kindergartens) to improve the learning environment of CWD. The project in parallel aims to empower and equip 5 Parent Action Groups and 4 Youth Groups to lobby for inclusion of CWDs in UNRWA schools.   WVL with its partners Community Based Rehabilitation Association (CBRA) and Mousawat are implementing this project in the three main areas in Lebanon where Palestinians reside: Beirut (Mar El-Yas Camp but covering also Shatila and Borj Al Barajneh camp), South (mainly Al-Bus camp but covering other camps in the area), and North (Nahr El Bared, Badawai camp)   THE PURPOSE OF THE TRAININGS   The advocacy and campaigning trainings will be provided to Parent Action Group (PAGS) which include parents of children with disability and Youths Disability Groups (YDGs) which include youths with disability and relatives of children with disability.   The trainings need to address the following:   Basic understanding of the Convention of the Rights of People with Disability and the UNRWA inclusion education policy Advocacy principles and approaches Different types of campaigning Process of planning and executing an advocacy campaign   It is also intended to ensure that as the training is provided, the trainees start to develop a plan for the advocacy campaign that they can lead in their Palestinian camps throughout a one year time frame to ensure that the training is relevant and practical and that they come up with a feasible plan.       TIMELINE   The trainings are expected to be held starting January until the end of February. The exact training days would be agreed upon with the selected trainer.   The training of PAGs will be divided over four sessions (2hrs per session) The training of Youths will be divided over three sessions (3 hrs per session)   NUMBER AND LOCATION OF TRAINING   PAGs: YDGs: 2 groups in North 2 groups in South 1 group in Beirut 2 groups in North 1 group in South 1 group in Beirut   NEEDED QUALIFICATIONS   - Background in social work  - Previous experience in facilitating trainings on advocacy and campaigning - Previous experience in implementing advocacy campaigns - Strong arabic communication skills - Experience working with Palestinain refugees - Knowledge about Disability and UNRWA’s work in Lebanon     Please send your CV along with a cover letter and a quotation including the following: -      Rate per training session excluding transportation costs -      Suggested training sessions outline per group
