* ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Define the educational background, the relevant job experience and the language(s) that are essential to perform the work of the position. - University degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Journalism, Communication or other related fields. - Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience. - Good knowledge of refugee context, Lebanese local context as well as adequate knowledge of the political and cultural backgrounds of GCC countries. - Excellent drafting skills in English. - Fluency in Arabic language skills (written and spoken) and excellent analytical capacity in English (written and spoken). - Proven inter-personal and negotiating skills. - Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. *** For National Officer positions, very good knowledge of local language and local institutions is essential. * DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES. Describe any experience or knowledge that would be an asset, such as: UNHCR Learning Programmes, other training, additional languages, Field/HQs experience, etc. - UNHCR experience in field or programme. - Ability to organize and conduct briefing and presentation in Arabic and English.
