Field Officer for WOMEN CHARITY LEAGUE (WCL), PU-AMI partner -         LEBANON    -     Field Officer – Psychosocial Support   Women Charity League (WCL) is a non-profit, non-political and non religious humanitarian local NGO. Founded in 1945. Its objective is to help vulnerable and poor people in the field of social care, medical, culture, food security and others social and non profit services.   As a result of the Syrian refugee crisis and in efforts to serve hosting communities that have been affected by the Syrian conflict, WCL has become a partner of PU-AMI and will implement a range of activities related to psychosocial support, education, protection and women capacity building activities in Akkar area (Arida, Sheikh Zannad and Mechmech).   POSITION GENERAL INFORMATION   Position: Field Officer Based in: Halba, Akkar   Supervision   Under the direct supervision of:              WCL Project Manager   Under the overall supervision of:            WCL director Responsible to Supervise:                          Daily Workers, assisstant, teachers.   OVERALL MISSION   General objective The WCL Psychosocial Support field officer will be responsible for the implementation of psychosocial support (PSS) activities  in Akkar Governorate, Lebanon. The PSS field officer will work under the supervision of the WCL project manager  and the indirect supervision of the WCL director.   The PSS field officer position’s main objectives are to successfully achieve the following global tasks:   Assists the field delegate in running field activities for community outreach program, such as psychosocial support activities; Develops and maintains the existing network of WCL interlocutors (with authorities at municipal degree, local NGO, Communities…); He/she engages with individuals and community groups, such as residents' associations, parents' groups and young people; He/she conducts community needs assessments with relevant groups Provides written field reports and situation developments and minutes of minutes held with interlocutors; Facilitates workshops, groups, etc., as required Conducts program and service evaluations with partner groups Keeps updates of the socio-political, humanitarian and security situation in the area of responsibility; update and advice on important developments; Contributes to the implementation of internal security rules;   Responsibilities and tasks   Programs: He/She will implement all activities related to PSS. Human Resources: He/She will supervise Unskilled worker, skilled worker, and Teacher.   Representation: Upon request from his/her supervisor, he/she will represent the organization to other NGOs, authorities and communities in relation to the scope of the PSS project. The tasks and responsibilities defined in this job description are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on the project needs.   QUALIFICATIONS   Mandatory Requirements   Language skills: Fluent in Arabic and good in English. Education degree: Degree in psychology, sociology, social work  and/or community mobilisation or equivalent Work experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position (NGOs/private companies/public sector) Knowledge & skills: Good communication skills, abality to work under pressure. Computer skills: Good knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Excel, Outlook Other: -          Strong knowledge in community mobilization and protection. -          Good management and pedagogical skills. -          Good knowledge of Akkar and the Northern Governorate, willing to travel extensively locally. -          Valid driving licence (minimun 1 year).   Assets   Interest: -       Strong motivation to help people in need. -       Understanding of the Syrian crisis, the effect on local Lebanese communities and the political situation in the area. Transversal skills: -       Well-organized. -       Teamwork spirit. -       Ability to take initiative to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work. -       Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the situation within a mission or the organization itself. -       Autonomy, neutrality, hard worker. -       Able to manage stress and pressure.
