Project Coordinator

We are seeking a full time Project Coordinator for our project in Akkar entitled "Youth for Local Governance". This project is targeted towards Akkar youth to enable them to gain skills and knowledge in local governance in order to promote innovative electoral frameworks to address gaps in electoral reform. This position is based in Akkar, North Lebanon. This post will appeal to those with a passion for Youth in order to bring administration experience in the Youth society to develop their skills and enable them to innovate and build solutions using latest technologies to address local gaps in municipalities. The project coordinator will be under the supervision of the project manager and his responsibilities will include providing support for the daily management of the project. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Providing project management through constant update to the PM on the project progress and sending reminders to the team for any delays in due reports, tasks or updates. - Attending in-office, external coordination meetings and any other project activity as requested by the PM. - Supporting the team in getting familiar with the Program system including all forms & sheets and reporting channels and deadlines. - Collecting required forms and sheets from the team on a regular basis as per the time frame and archives them in the internal system. - Assisting in maintaining accounting records, ensuring compliance with the budget of the project. - Assisting in the development of any project related surveys and other appropriate field-based studies. - Maintaining contact with local and international stakeholders; - Scheduling meetings and drafting minutes; - Monitoring the activities of the project - Supporting the team in the Outreach plans and monitoring the activities - Performing other project related tasks as agreed upon with the project manager. - Supporting the project procurement requirements and maintaining inventory; - Supporting in Arabic/English or French translations occasionally; PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS: - University degree; - Experience in bookkeeping and accounting systems or other administrative experience; - Experience in dealing with national authorities and with national and international partners (other NGOs, UN,etc…); - Good command of Microsoft Office tools: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc…; - Experience in working in previous NGO would be an asset; - Fluency in written and spoken Arabic & English is a must (written and oral); - Lebanese citizenship; PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: - Dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment. - Desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility are desired characteristics. - Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities at one time; - Capacity to adapt to multidisciplinary work in a multicultural environment; - Ability to manage a field team and understand field challenges. - Good interpersonal and communication skills; - Ability to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines; - Willingness to travel within Lebanon;
