Protection Field Coordinator

The Protection Coordinator will: Assist in the development and management of all matters related to AVSI/UNICEF Protection program Liaise with local Protection partners and government representatives as necessary Monitor Child Protection and GBV activities in schools and informal settlements regularly Assist in the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteer and local staff; mobilize and monitor developed team Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions. Ensure timely completion and submission of monthly timesheets, probations reviews and annual performance reviews Write internal project reports in collaboration with the Protection Specialist Coordinate and oversee staff workplans, work and vacation schedules. Assist Program Manager in the development and/or procurement of curriculum and supplies required for program activities Represent the AVSI program at the field level by attending coordination meetings with UN agencies, national and international NGOs, local authorities Actively participate in GBV coordination efforts at the field and, if required, national level Continually assess and adjust program design and interventions with Program Manager in order to address ongoing needs of the population Perform any other relevant duties as required     Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relevant to social sciences, humanities, development studies with at least 7 year of experience OR a Master Degree in any other major with at least 5 years of experience Excellent planning and organizational skills 2-3 years professional experience in community-based Protection or GBV programming, preferably in an emergency context Clear understanding of gender, human rights, and issues surrounding violence against women and girls. Demonstrated experience facilitating trainings and workshops on Gender/GBV issuesComputer skills and report writing experience Good knowledge of school situation and learning problems of Syrians refugees children in the targeted villages Networking and team building skills will be required. Good knowledge of English and/or French language – spoken and written skills. Mother tongue Arabic speaker
