Health Assistant

The Health Assistant will: Conduct outreach activities on field and screen children and women for acute malnutrition Organise IYCF (Infant and Young Children Feeding) education activities in Informal Tented Settlements and community centers in static and mobile Baby Corners Support Health Officers and Community Health Workers during a KAP survey Organise Hygiene Promotion activities at field level in collaboration with Child Protection and WASH AVSI’s team Deliver information related to the Polio vaccination campaigns to the community using specific tools (e.g leaflet) and interaction with the people (Focus Group Discussions, meetings…) In collaboration with the Child Health Mobilizer Focal Point and Emergency Coordinator prepares quantitative and qualitative reports of all health activities according to donor and MoPH reporting guidelines. Organize daily and weekly activities, compile follow up form and reports and ensure bureaucratic work. Support data collection at field level Establish a good collaboration on field with other actors involved in humanitarian assistance Provide efficient management support to the Project Manager and Field Coordinator. Perform any other relevant duties as required     Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relevant to social sciences, public health, humanities, development studies 0-1 year of experience or a bachelor in any other major 2-3 years of experience, graduate studies is preferred Holder of a High School Certificate or equivalent and 3 to 4 years of work experience. Previous experience with NGO’s preferred Well organized and hard worker Computer skills and report writing experience Familiarity with database systems is an advantage. Good communication skills and good team player. Good knowledge of English and/or French language – spoken and written skills. Mother tongue Arabic speaker
