Community Health Worker

The Health Officer will: Deliver information related to the Polio vaccination campaigns to the community using specific tools (e.g leaflet) and interaction with the people (Focus Group Discussions, meetings…) In collaboration with the Child Health Mobilizer Focal Point and Emergency Coordinator prepares quantitative and qualitative reports of all health activities according to donor and MoPH reporting guidelines. Perform the  screening of the nutritional status under five children and pregnant/lactating women in the designated location and centers in collaboration with MoPH staff Measure and register weight, height and WFH of under five children  and pregnant/lactating women Follow up with the MoPH staff new admission of malnourished children Lead sensitization sessions on Polio vaccination and health best practices promotion in Informal Tented Settlements, rural and urban communities Participate in writing of all required health reports (for AVSI, donors, partners, etc) Work in close collaboration with the M&E Officer (Health&Nutrition) for data analysis Prepare weekly and monthly report for Hygiene activities Perform any other relevant duties as required   Preferred Requirements: Degree in management or administration of health systems / public health (a master degree is a plus); at least two years of experience in the health system Computer skills and report writing experience. Excellent communication skills. Good team player Well organized and hard worker Valid driving licence (2 years minimum) Excellent knowledge of languages depending on the major they will be teaching
