Assistant Project Coordinator – North Lebanon

CISP is an International NGO working in the field of international development and humanitarian cooperation projects that is currently implementing WASH related projects in Lebanon funded by several donors (i.e. UN Agencies, Italian Cooperation, European Commission), targeting both Syrian Refugees and Lebanese Hosting Communities. In the frame of a development project financed by EC at El Fouar Municipality (Zgharta District – North Lebanon) CISP intends to recruit an Assistant Project Coordinator, based in CISP Office in Tripoli. Terms Of Reference: The Assistant Project Coordinator will assist the Management Team in the main project implementation phases, with particular role in the liaison with the various stakeholders (target population, local authorities, municipality, etc.). Candidate’s requirements: Excellent diplomacy and representation skills Ability to write project reports and proposals Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to assess challenges and recommend solutions Proficiency in data management and standard office software Strong management and training skills Ability to ensure compliance with CISP and donor’s policies and procedures Adaptability to changing work environment and possible volatile security situation Proficiency in English and Arabic, both oral and written Valid driving license                                                  Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience with INGOs/NGOs in humanitarian assistance and/or international development cooperation projects in similar positions Experience in representing an organization in strategic and operational meetings Experience in team management and capacity building Experience in community-based approaches Experience in logistics/ admin / finance management   Education: Bachelor/Master Degree in humanitarian project management, local development or similar majors (desirable but can be balanced by experience)   Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Management Team (MT) to the implementation of the core project activities Develop weekly and monthly work plans in accordance with project objectives, expected results and timeframes Cooperate with relevant partners and local authorities With support of the MT, organize trainings for the target community, local authorities and relevant stakeholders Collaborate to the development of procurement procedures in accordance with CISP and donor’s guidelines Draw up monthly project reports and other reporting as required Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities In coordination with the MT, ensure that the Monitoring and Evaluation plan is undertaken in a timely manner and corrective actions are taken when necessary Ensure proper filing and archiving of the project documents and their regular submission to CISP’s Country Office in Beirut Coordinate and supervise the daily tasks of the staff (Social and Technical Officers) Responsible for managing the performance of the staff under his/her supervision and provide constructive feedback Conduct frequent field visits to develop/supervise project activities and strengthen relationships with beneficiaries, local authorities and other stakeholders Support the MT in planning the staff movement to meet the activities implementation requirements in accordance with CISP security procedures Responsible for ensuring that all the staff understand and constantly follow CISP security and safety guidance Interested candidates must forward: An updated CV (in English) complete with at least 3 professional references and their full contacts (name, organization/company, position, telephone number, email address).
