Training Coordinator

project Semeurs d'avenir in cooperation with IECD has started implementing a program for supporting micro enterprises (less than 5 employees) in Tripoli (Lebanon) in 2010. First, This program aims to build the capacity of entrepreneurs to better manage their enterprise, through series of practical trainings on management and close individual follow up In Addition, This program provides the entrepreneurs with the tools to develop their activity, generate value, create jobs, ensure the sustainability of their enterprises and, therefore, improve their living conditions The first step consisted of setting up a "resources center" in Tripoli in order to: Provide micro enterprises owners with tailor made training in business management 12 sessions Training on basic management (cash book, stock management, cost of production, marketing and sales,…), each session of two hours, and minimum two sessions per week Specialized training in marketing and computer skills Theme evenings Long term follow up  Provide micro enterprises owners with intense and individual follow up Make available to micro enterprises owners relevant documentation and tools Hold regular seminars related to micro enterprise development Try to link micro enterprises owners to relevant other organizations and institutions (micro credits, vocational training, Chamber of Commerce, …)  The resource center will work in partnership with organizations and associations that work in the field of MSE’s development.  In parallel with the activities of the resources center in Tripoli, IECD implemented its training program and activities in rural villages in North Lebanon, in order to support and reinforce the very small enterprises.  Responsibilities   Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Training Coordinator (TC) has to:   Manage the completion of the training sessions on basic management in Tripoli and Akkar Outreach of entrepreneurs to attend the training sessions Convince the entrepreneurs of the utility of the project and its services especially that the beneficiary will have to pay 20$ for 12 trainings sessions on basic management The target is to organize a minimum of 4 trainings (one training every three months) on basic management, targeting 15 entrepreneurs in every training, so a total of 60 entrepreneurs to be trained. Organize the training sessions: logistics, trainers, contact with the beneficiaries,… Conduct 5 individual follow up visits for every beneficiary during the training sessions to: assist the beneficiary in using the knowledge gained during the sessions, fill the follow up sheets with the required clear information Conduct 5 individual visits for every beneficiary after the training sessions to : evaluate the improvement of the SME and calculate the impact of the project, by filling the  follow up sheets Animate most of the training sessions Do the data entry for the info collected in the field visits, on a weekly basis Participate actively in the activities of the center in Tripoli Coordinate center logistic with the support of other members of IECD team Assist the project manager in the organization of any special event Participate in training material development of every level of training Promote the center by all communication tools available The training coordinator will have also to fulfill other tasks delegated by the program Manager
