Nurse Helper

1.   SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES   Reports to the ward nurse any eventful physical and or psychological change in patient’s condition Assists patient with his-her toilet needs when needed Assists patient in maintaining personal hygiene when needed Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when needed Prepares patient’s bed and room Collects dirty linen and disposes as per the hospital’s policies and procedures Receives clean linen, ensures integrity of linen, and quantity received and stores appropriately Assists registered nurse performs patient care activities when needed Transports patient to X-ray department, etc. … Performs other duties as directed by the registered nurse Applies Universal Precaution Techniques Abides by ICRC policies and procedures 2.   GENERAL DUTIES   Understands the three components of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement Applies the security rules at all times Respects and observes staff regulations of the ICRC in the hospital Performs duties and tasks not covered in this job description Provides support to other departments when necessary
