Case Worker National Position

Main Objectives: The Caseworker is responsible for the identification, assessment and psycho-social support to vulnerable women, boys and girls at risk approaching the INTERSOS community centers or being reached out trough protection monitoring. Reporting to: Community services Specialist/National Protection officer Specific duties and responsibilities: Detect, counsel and follow up individual cases identified through community services and protection monitoring; Conduct psychosocial assessment of vulnerable cases, including environmental, emotional, behavioral, and social factors as well as resources and strengths that impact the individual well- being. Conduct ad hoc assessment for the provision of cash or material assistance or/and transportation cost according to tailored case by case assistance. Ensure coordination and synergy with the main service providers in the area of intervention for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing. Manage, fill, archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and weekly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness; Monitor and follow up the outcome of the material assistance provided by other partner agencies and services providers. Provide indications for awareness and focus groups work plan together with Protection officer. Assist the protection monitor officers and the social workers with the awareness sessions and the focus group discussions if needed. Accomplish any other task not here listed if necessary to the projects achievement. Qualification and experience: A minimum Bachelor degree in social work, psychology, health, or related field of studies; A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar position working with NGOs or government authorities; Experience in implementing and developing participatory approaches; Demonstrated computer literacy (Excel, word, PPT, e-mail) Good command of spoken and written English Arabic native speaker Valid driving license since min. 1 year Skills and traits: Ability to work independently and under pressure; Strong problem solving skills; Stress-resilient and ability to cope with tight deadlines and complex problems; Motivated to work with local authorities, local leaders and the refugee community; Ability and willingness to travel across the assigned project areas at short notice and spend extended periods with communities; Willing to work extra hours and during the weekend if emergency cases arise; Strong diplomatic, interpersonal, listening and communication skills; Flexibility, tolerance and maturity
