Project Officer - Lana

OXFAM PURPOSE:  To work with others to overcome poverty and suffering. JOB PURPOSE:To work closely with the Programme Manager on project implementation and management of partners in Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq, under the Norway-funded Lana – Transformative Political Identities for Gender Equality in Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq REPORTING LINES: Programme Manager Coordination: Closely with Programme Manager, partners and relevant stakeholders. DIMENSIONS: Delegated authority to supervise junior staff and/or volunteers and delegated projects and activities. Problems vary and include combination of routine and some complex. Work pattern is a mixture of reactive and project work Required to make sound judgment regularly within agreed processes using a good understanding of the team the facilities of the team. Communication is largely with internal staff, (including international), also with some external contacts and target audience to support operational work. Analysis and communication of some complex information at simple level is required to a wide audience to promote and influence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Programme Implementation: Participate in organisation and implementation of Oxfam activities, as specified in the programme document Produce monthly action plan for activity implementation   Programme partnership and partners’ support: Follow-up with partners on the agreed action plan to ensure timely delivery of activities by partners Provide technical assistance and support as deemed necessary in particular in areas related to monitoring to partners, using different training techniques, Support partners' required reports, ensure accuracy and detailed data, Assist in the preparation of partners' contracts, and amendments when deemed necessary. Provide timely responses to partners’ queries   Programme monitoring, learning and evaluation: Conduct monitoring trips to partners, submit visits reports, and follow-up on recommendations and action points Review partners’ reports and draft comments Draft regional reports Ensure that data related to the programme is uploaded in Oxfam Project Accountability and Learning (OPAL) system Support in organisation of learning events as per plan Contribute to the periodic monitoring of the programme as well as the learning reviews and ensure proper documentation Compile and file all data received from partners   Collaboration and Coordination Coordinate with Oxfam team from other programmes to learn from experiences on promoting gender equality in the region In collaboration with the Media and Communication officers, upgrade the profile of the programme by reflecting stories and lessons learnt, regionally and globally Coordinate and collaborate closely with the finance team on budget-related issues Assist on other task as requested by the Line Manager and as deemed necessary for programme development

• University degree in social science or related discipline, including gender and development
• At least 2 years of experiences in project administration and implementation with national and/or INGOs
• Experience in coordinating gender mainstreaming or gender stand-alone projects
• Preferred experience in monitoring and evaluation
• Experience in activity implementation and coordination
• Skilled in report writing
• Excellent oral and written communication and writing skills in English and Arabic
• Knowledge of gender and gender equality and relevance to poverty and vulnerability is essential
• Knowledge and skills in computer usage including word, excel, power point, lotus notes and social media
• Demonstrated capacity of social and communication skills and ability to work with others and as part of the team
• Willingness and fitness to travel
• Skills in organisation and time management
• Ability to work in a team and to travel within project areas and outside
