We are looking for a highly qualified candidate to conduct visits to vulnerable new arrival families’ homes, assess their needs and report accordingly.
Who are we
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job
Conduct visits to vulnerable new arrival families’ homes, assess their needs and report accordingly
Duties
Filling out a questionnaire, conduct interviews using physical files or androids
Identifying individuals with specific needs and referring them to the appropriate facilities
Ensure proper documentation of data collected (hard and soft copies
Organize data collection related to protection monitoring of new arrivals
Ensure data collection on new arrivals on a daily basis and coordinate with DRC’s collaborative partners
Keep good relations with local implementing actors, local authorities and other international and local stakeholders
Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the Emergency Response Officer
About you
To be successful in this role you must have University degree, preferably related to social work (protection) and NGO experience, preferably in emergency work
Ideally you will also have excellent interpersonal skills and Good communication and organizational skills
We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 3 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from October 2014 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to a basic salary of $ 1180 per month.
