It was managed by ARM members, as well as migrant community leaders. MCC is now fulfilling its role as a small local hub for migrant workers’ activities and meetings, and a launching pad for many of their initiatives. MCC has been providing free language and computer classes since its launch, as well as other classes, activities, events, and field trips. Members of the MCC are strongly encouraged to propose new initiatives and activities, which we help turn into a reality. On a daily basis, the space is most frequently used for community meetings, access to computers and the internet, a source of information and assistance, a space to have celebrations and get-togethers, as well as a casual space to spend time with each other.   About the Anti-Racism Movement (ARM) ARM is a grassroots movement created by young activists in Lebanon, in collaboration with migrant community leaders. Together we work on documenting, investigating, exposing and fighting racist practices in Lebanon, through various initiatives and campaigns. Our current efforts are mainly targeted towards racism, and other discriminatory and exploitative practices, against migrant workers specifically. There are over 250,000 migrant domestic workers in Lebanon. For the most part, they are suffering from exploitative labour practices, such as the sponsorship system, the exclusion of domestic work from labour laws, the lack of monitoring and accountability in recruitment agencies, arbitrary detention, and discriminatory policies imposed by private institutions, such as restaurants, banks, airlines, etc.
