Major Responsibilities
Work with Program Coordinator and Grants Manager to develop computerize database for tracking project objectives and indicators
Collect baseline data through both existing data and primary data collection, as necessary, at the start of the project.
Ensure that Project targets, as set forth in donor agreements, are achievable, clearly defined, that all necessary systems are in place for their measurement. Where necessary recommend revisions to indicators and/or targets and provide senior with written justification for these modifications.
Orient field staff to project indicators and ensure that all staff have a common understanding of how indicators are defined and are to be measured and reported.
Maintain contact with project beneficiaries to ensure proper reporting against set M&E benchmarks
Establish user-friendly reporting formats and systems for use by field office staff office that collect all necessary Project indicators in a timely and accurate manner.
Draft the sections of monthly and final reports which report on indicators and progress towards targets, including a clear explanation of any problems encountered in the monitoring and evaluation process and how these were addressed.
Work in close cooperation with Program Manager in the overall implementation of all project activities in the field.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of related M&E work experience.
Prior experience in monitoring and evaluation systems for externally funded Projects/programs. Demonstrated knowledge of the design, data collection and reporting of input, output and impact indicators.
Proficiency in SPSS or SAS and in computer data entry software (e.g. Access, EpiInfo, etc).
Excellent analytic skills, good report-writing skills.
Prior experience in tracking indicators for humanitarian and/or remote management projects is preferred.
Fluency in Arabic and English
